Hello Families =)
Happy St. Patrick's Day Eve! Today was awesome! Thank you for helping making it so special!
I apologize for not getting an email out this week about coming in to discuss different occupations with the kids. We have been so busy that I decided we would do this after Spring break. Next week is a short week, and we have a lot to do. I will definitely send out the email next week for you to sign up if you want to share with our class after we return in April.
I am getting very excited for student led conferences that are coming up on April 20th. We will be sharing more information very soon about this special day. Your child will be showing you all of their work that they pick out for you to see. I really want you to check out their writing. They have been working so hard. They are all amazing writers! Right now we are concentrating on opinion writing, and they are having a lot of fun with it because they all have strong opinions.
In math, we have moved into addition and subtraction using the language one more than and one less than. I hope homework is going okay at home. They show me that they know it here, so I just want to make sure you are seeing the same result at home. Math language can be tricky for a kindergartner at times.
We have two field trips set that you will be hearing about very soon. We are going to the San Diego Zoo to wrap up our science unit on studying different animals on April 30th, and we are going to Legoland on May 25th to participate in some STEAM activities AND have a little fun! I was going to take the class to the Temecula Library for a field trip, but they have changed some things, so we are going to hold off this year. I decided we are going to go to Penny Pickles Museum in Old Town Temecula because these kids LOVE science, and Penny Pickles offers a great program. I am currently in the works with them, so I will let you know soon.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Thank you for being so amazing and supportive! You are all the BEST!
