We had a fun week in kindergarten. Unfortunately, we had a lot of absences, so we are missing some of our friends right now. We are hoping everyone will be at school on Monday. We have been working on publishing our last narrative pieces because we begin our "how to" writing when we return to school from winter break. In math, we have been working on word problems that include one more than or one less than a number. We completed our last science lesson in our push and pull unit. Next week, we have some fun investigations to do to wrap up our unit. These investigations will be a great way for me to assess what the kiddos have learned.
We will be sharing our Christmas traditions this coming week. If you would like to participate in this project, we would like to begin sharing on Monday or Tuesday.
Next week is our last week to get in some play practice, so I am hoping I get to see all of my kiddos. Please give them lots of rest, and feed them lots of chicken noodle soup. We are also making Christmas gifts next week. Big week!
I will be handing out the book exchange assignments on Monday, December 10th.
Grady's 1/2 birthday is on Tuesday, December 11th.
Dress rehearsal for the winter show is on Wednesday, December 12th at 8:15. **Please send your child to school in the outfit they will be wearing to the winter show (remember Christmas colors). I have the aprons at hats here at school.**
Our holiday boutique shopping day is on Thursday, December 13th.
Tristan's birthday will be celebrated on Friday, December 14th. His birthday is December 15th.
The winter show is Tuesday, December 18th at 6pm (arrival is 5:15).
Polar Express Day is Wednesday, December 19th.
Information will be going home soon about our class party on Thursday, December 20th.
There will not be any new words of the week or letters to practice for the last two weeks. We are going to be very busy here in kindergarten. There is a lot to get done!
I hope you all have a beautiful and restful weekend! See you on Monday =)
