Thank you ALL for being so wonderful and flexible! December quickly becomes very busy, and I truly appreciate all of your help to make it as fun and magical for the kids as possible! We buttoned up all of our units this week because you saw the schedule for next week. The kids took their math assessment for Module 1, and we completed our writing unit on narratives. When we come back from the break, we are going to begin informational writing. We still have a few more activities to do with our snow unit. I love how much fun the kids are having with learning about snow. Today, we played with snow! Ask your child all about it =) I am sending home a red booklet for your child to fill with the Christmas traditions you are sharing with them. This project is meant to be simple and entertaining. If your child does not want to participate, we will understand. I know I loaded you with information about next week in my last email, so if you have any questions, please contact me on my cell phone over the weekend.
Don't forget that Monday is Polar Express Day, and your child gets to wear pajamas!!
Have a great weekend! Only 14 days until Christmas!!!
Hello parents =) Thank you all so much for attending the conferences with me today. I truly enjoy just chatting with you about some of my favorite people! I have an amazing job! If you found you would like to talk more after digesting what we discussed, please let me know.
In the upcoming weeks left of school, we are going to focus a lot on social studies and science along with reviewing material. I figured that introducing new concepts before the break might not lead to much retention. For science, we are learning about snow. I am sure your child is going to be talking about the fun stuff we will be doing here in class. In social studies, we are going to learn about Christmas traditions around the world. I am going to let the children decide what countries we are focusing on, so if you have any suggestions, please let me know.
I hope you all have a beautiful weekend! Don't forget Tristan's birthday party is on Sunday from 4 to 6pm at Chuck E. Cheese in Murrieta.
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
