Happy Friday Everyone! Your kinders had a busy week! I apologize if they were more tired than usual. We have been doing all of our regular work as well as assessments for our upcoming report cards. Our second trimester ends on Friday. I could not be more proud of these little ones!
They are all loving module 3 in math. It is a very hands-on unit dealing with measurement, and there a may fun lessons!
Next week is Dr. Seuss week! We will be reading A LOT, along with working hard in our other subjects. If you would like to come in and read a book to the class, please respond to the email I sent out on Wednesday. We would LOVE to see you all!
Friday is a minimum day with FREE DRESS!
There is NO SCHOOL on Monday, March 7th
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend! See you next week =)
Hello Parents =)
We had a very productive "short" week of school! We are now done with our Module 2 math assessments. This upcoming week, we are going to start Module 3 and learn about length, weight, capacity, and numbers to 10. I will be sending home math homework again starting on Monday. The kids are doing fantastic with their readers. Please continue to return them to school each day inside of their baggie. Some of the books have gotten lost. Thank you =)
For social studies next week, we are going to learn about some important African Americans in celebration of Black History Month. Make sure to ask questions!
We only have a couple more weeks of our informational writing before we move into opinion writing in the next trimester.
Friday, March 4th is a minimum day with free dress & Monday, March 7th is no school!
To Stuart, Aaron and Keith: I hope you have a lot of fun tonight at the father/daughter dance! Your girls talked about it all day! Please share a picture!
I hope you all have a great weekend! Thank you for always being awesome! See you on Monday!
Hi Parents! Happy Friday! This week in math, we finished Module 2. We will be doing our assessments next week and moving on to Module 3 the following week. Module 2 was all about shapes and solids. We are also wrapping up our Then and Now unit in social studies this coming week, and we will be moving on to My Community: Goods and Services. There will be a fun field trip associated with this unit =)
Our writing of How To quick writes is evolving into our expert writing. The kids continue to impress me and each other with their writing pieces! Thank you so much for bringing in the snowman project and writing! You will see those again in the future!
New reading books will be going home on Monday. Please communicate any questions you may have for me about reading. I want to know if the group of books are too easy or too difficult for your child to read. I look at the reading log as a guide, so thank you for continuing to fill it out for your child!
Next week is going to be a busy week, so I wanted to give you all some reminders:
Monday is the 100th day of school! Can you believe they are already 100 days smarter!? The kids are welcome to dress up as if they are 100 years old =)
Wednesday is the Valentine's Day party. Please remember to bring in the assigned goodies and valentines to exchange. Thank you so much for returning your "heart writing" to your child to me! It is going to be a very special project!
Wednesday is also the class's 2nd Marble Party, and they have voted to watch Inside Out while enjoying popcorn and ice cream!
There is NO SCHOOL on Friday the 12th and Monday the 15th, so please enjoy the 4 day weekend!! (next week that is)
Have a GREAT weekend families! I will see you all on the 100th day of school!
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
